Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving Break is Thursday, November 28th – Sunday, December 1st.
If you are planning to stay for any portion of the break, you must fill out the stay-over form so we know who will be in our residences over the break:
Thanksgiving Stay-Over Sign-Up
Residences will be open during the break, but the rest of the campus, including transportation and dining services, will essentially be closed.

Transportation Limitations
- Campus Shuttles are NOT in service: November 27th - November 29th. More Info at: TAPS Non-Operating Dates
- METRO city Buses are NOT in service: November 28th. More Info at: SCMTD Website
Dining Closures
Wednesday, November 27th
- All dining halls, Banana Joe's, College Eight Cafe, Oakes Cafe, Perk Coffee Bars, Stevenson Coffee House, Terra Fresca restaurant and coffee bar close at 2:00 p.m. (after lunch)
- All other campus cafes and restaurants will be closed or have limited hours. Please refer to the UCSC Dining website for updated information on these locations.
Thursday, November 28th - Saturday, November 30th
- All dining halls closed.
- All campus restaurants, cafés and coffee shops closed.
Sunday, December 1st
- Dining halls reopen at 5:00 p.m. for dinner.
ALTERNATIVE DINING OPTIONS
- The Dean of Students Office sponsors the Harvest Dinner at the Colleges Nine and Ten Dining Hall, Thursday, Nov. 28th, seatings at noon and 2p.m.

Food will be served from 11a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Traditional turkey dinner includes herb-roasted turkey, maple roasted yams, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, and topped with homemade gravy and orange cranberry sauce, $23.95. Also serving prime rib, seafood, chicken. Reservations recommended.
